— Local context
Your local York
propane company.
York is the "White Rose City" — site of the First Continental Congress that drafted the Articles of Confederation in 1777, the still-operating York Central Market House (founded 1888), and the Harley-Davidson factory on the city's east side. The York County History Center anchors the downtown district.
Significant industrial heritage, dense central row homes, and Pennsylvania Dutch farm country to the south. Heating oil dominant in older neighborhoods; propane heavy in the rural townships toward Red Lion and Spring Garden.
Pennsylvania's capital region — Harrisburg, Carlisle, Lebanon, and York — sits in the Cumberland and Susquehanna valleys, where historic downtowns, post-war suburbs, and Pennsylvania Dutch farm country coexist. Newer construction generally runs on natural gas; older homes and rural properties keep our trucks busy.

— Why York chooses us
Local fuel for local winters.
Eight reasons York families and businesses choose Button Energy.
02 / 08
Cap Pricing Protection
Lock in a maximum rate for the season. If markets spike during the cold months, you stay protected — but if they fall, your rate falls too.
03 / 08
Grid Independent
When ice storms knock out power in York, propane heating runs without electricity — and a generator keeps the rest going.
04 / 08
Tank Monitoring
Free tank monitoring for automatic-delivery customers. We watch the level and schedule the fill before you run low.
05 / 08
Family-Owned
Four generations of the Button family have run the company, from Kingston in 1933 to Mountain Top today.

— Hyper-local
A propane company
built for York.
Choosing a propane company with decades of Pennsylvania winters behind it means you get a provider who shows up when conditions are at their worst — a family company in its fourth generation, delivering in York County.
Local expertise
We've been delivering fuel in Pennsylvania since long before GPS existed, and we treat the address on file as a place we're committed to — not a row in a routing algorithm.
Everyday delivery area
York County is part of our everyday delivery area, so a delivery here isn't a special trip. That local presence matters during cold snaps, when minutes between a "no-heat" call and a truck pulling in are the whole game.
Community support
York is a community that values long-term relationships. By choosing Button Energy, you partner with a company whose commitment to Pennsylvania families has lasted over nine decades and four generations.
