We started in Kingston in 1933. One promise.
In 1933 Edward S. Button began delivering diesel fuel and heating oil to customers in Kingston, PA, just across the Susquehanna from Wilkes-Barre. The promise — answer the phone, show up on time, charge a fair price — has not changed in four generations.
The company moved to Mountain Top in 1943, and it's been home ever since. Robert and Charles Button grew the residential routes; their sons Ed and Robert grew the fleet; and in 2011 the fourth generation — Amanda, Edward R., and Robert — took the reins.
Propane came in 2010, a transport division in 2012, overnight fleet fueling in 2018 — and in 2023, Button Oil & Propane became Button Energy. Still family-owned, still answering the phone, now delivering across twenty-one Pennsylvania counties.
