— Why Choose Off-Road

Same fuel.
Lower bill.

Off-road dyed diesel is the same ULSD running in our highway loads — just dyed red and exempt from road taxes. For qualifying off-road equipment, that's real money on every gallon.

Tax-Exempt Pricing

No federal or state road taxes on dyed diesel. Saves several cents per gallon — adds up fast on a working farm or job-site fuel budget.

ULSD Quality

Identical 15 ppm sulfur spec as our on-road ULSD. Clean-burning, EPA-compliant for off-road equipment, easy on injectors.

Hard-to-Reach Delivery

Mud-season farms, remote logging sites, mobile equipment yards. Our drivers know the territory and we bring the fuel where competitors won't.

Any Volume

200-gallon top-offs for a single skid tank up through 8,000-gallon transport drops. Build a delivery cadence that matches your burn rate.

— What the dye means

Red dye, real
tax savings.

Red dye is the IRS tag that marks fuel as tax-exempt for non-highway use. Putting it in a road vehicle is a violation that triggers $1,000+ federal penalties per occurrence — but in qualifying equipment, it saves on every gallon, every month.

Eligible: tractors, harvesters, bulldozers, generators, off-road construction equipment, marine engines, mining equipment, locomotives, stationary engines.

  • Solvent Red 26 dye

IRS-required marker dye. Visible at typical concentrations and stable through normal storage.

  • Same ULSD base

Identical sulfur, cetane, and cloud-point spec as our on-road product. The only difference is the dye.

  • Compliance docs

BOL clearly marks tax-exempt status. Customer is responsible for keeping eligible-use records on file.

— Common questions

About off-road dyed diesel.

Don't see your question? Talk to a real human at dispatch — 570-474-6635.

Who is allowed to buy and burn dyed diesel?
Anyone running qualifying off-road equipment: farms, construction, marine, mining, stationary generators, locomotives. The IRS publishes the eligible-use list. We supply the BOL marked tax-exempt; you keep records of where the fuel was burned.
What's the penalty for putting dyed diesel in a road vehicle?
Federal: $1,000 per occurrence or $10 per gallon, whichever is greater, plus state penalties on top. Roadside dye-checks happen. The dye is detectable at very low concentrations. Don't do it.
How does it compare to on-road diesel performance-wise?
Identical. Same ASTM D975 spec, same 15 ppm sulfur, same cetane minimum. The dye is the only chemical difference. Engines, injectors, and emissions equipment behave the same.
What's the minimum delivery volume?
Standard rack-plus accounts start at 200 gallons per drop. Indexed and fixed contracts typically begin at 2,000 gallons. We work with smaller volumes for pilot accounts.
Can you reach remote farms or seasonal job sites?
Yes — that's a lot of what we do. Our drivers run the same routes year after year and know which lanes hold up in mud season, which gates need codes, and which sites need a 6-wheel-drive over a tandem. Tell us the location, we'll tell you what fits.
