— Local context
Your local Lewistown
propane company.
Lewistown sits at the confluence of Kishacoquillas Creek and the Juniata River — Monument Square anchors downtown, the Mifflin County Courthouse stands at its center, and the Standing Stone heritage marks the region's deeper history.
Mix of valley housing along the Juniata, hill-country farms above, and small-town downtown lots. Heating oil dominates the borough; propane for the surrounding agricultural properties.
Central Pennsylvania — the Nittany Valley and the high plateau west of it — runs from State College through Bellefonte, Clearfield, and Lewistown. Winters here are colder than the valleys to the east; rural homes outside the natural-gas grid lean heavily on propane and heating oil.

— Why Lewistown chooses us
Local fuel for local winters.
Eight reasons Lewistown families and businesses choose Button Energy.

03 / 08
Grid Independent
When ice storms knock out power in Lewistown, propane heating runs without electricity — and a generator keeps the rest going.
04 / 08
Tank Monitoring
Free tank monitoring for automatic-delivery customers. We watch the level and schedule the fill before you run low.
05 / 08
Family-Owned
Four generations of the Button family have run the company, from Kingston in 1933 to Mountain Top today.

A propane company
built for Lewistown.
Choosing a propane company with decades of Pennsylvania winters behind it means you get a provider who shows up when conditions are at their worst — a family company in its fourth generation, delivering in Mifflin County.
Local expertise
We've been delivering fuel in Pennsylvania since long before GPS existed, and we treat the address on file as a place we're committed to — not a row in a routing algorithm.
Everyday delivery area
Mifflin County is part of our everyday delivery area, so a delivery here isn't a special trip. That local presence matters during cold snaps, when minutes between a "no-heat" call and a truck pulling in are the whole game.
Community support
Lewistown is a community that values long-term relationships. By choosing Button Energy, you partner with a company whose commitment to Pennsylvania families has lasted over nine decades and four generations.
